About Institution

Dr. R. K. Shanmugam in the year 1994. Being an Economist, an Educationalist and an Administrator, he served in various capabilities such as the Finance Minister of Independent India, the Vice – Chancellor of Annamalai University and the Diwan of Cochin. He founded the Tamil Isai Sangam for the development of Tamil Culture and Tamil Literature with the help of Raja Sir Annamalai Chettiar.

The Vision of Dr.RKS. Arts and Science College is to engrave Character and Value Based Education in the minds of Students to manifest the perfection already in them. Empower excellence in providing Higher Education and Research by the standard of University.

The Objective of this College is to provide Quality Education, Training and Research facilities to the students of our Nation.To inculcate Ethical,Moral and Social Values in the minds of Educators and Students to motivate and Nurture Co-operation, Tolerance and Mutual Respect in our Nation of diversity.
