Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 45% marks in Mathematics separately and 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) put together are eligible for Management seats admission. However average 70% marks for PCM in qualifying examination is desirable. Note:- (i) In two year Kerala Higher Secondary courses or examinations recognized equivalent thereto with two year course where the Board Examinations are conducted in both years, the total marks of two years in the respective subjects as shown in the mark lists of the respective Higher Secondary Boards will be considered for academic eligibility. (ii) In Higher Secondary courses or examinations recognized equivalent thereto where Board. Examinations are conducted only at the end of 12th class (final year), the marks in the respective subjects as shown in the mark lists of the respective Higher Secondary Boards will be considered for academic eligibility. (iii) For all other type of Higher Secondary courses or examinations recognized equivalent thereto, the marks of the respective subjects as shown in the mark list of the respective Board of Examinations will be considered for academic eligibility.* *Refer KEAM Prospectus 2015, Clause 6.2.2 a c. Admission Procedure

: The rank list will be prepared by giving equal weightage to the percentage marks obtained in the Kerala Entrance Examination and PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics)of the Qualifying Examination (12th Standard only). Merit list for the admission will be published in the website. Selection will be in the order of merit through open counselling. The date for counselling will be published in the website. Candidates are advised to visit the website regularly to get updated information on interview, admission etc. No separate communication will be sent on this account. Selected candidates shall take admission at the appointed time and date in the college, after paying the tuition fee and other fees to be paid, failing which the offer of admission will be cancelled.

: MCA (Three Year) Admission is strictly on the basis of merit. · Eligibility will be subject to the rules and regulations of Mahatma Gandhi University/AICTE/Govt. · The candidates shall be an Indian National. · The candidates should have studied in the graduate course in an institution recognized by a University/Deemed University. i) The candidates should have completed an undergraduate degree course with minimum three years duration (after 10+2) with Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Computer Application/Engineering and Technology as a Main/Subsidiary/Core/Complementary Subject at degree level. The Candidate should have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in their degree examination. ii) Subject to the regulation relating to prescribed minimum of the respective qualifying examination, the minimum marks of admission to the course of studies shall be a pass in the case of SC/ST candidates. iii) Candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) referred to GO (P)208/66/Edn dated. 2-5-96 and subsequent amendments to order issued by the Government shall be given a relaxation of 2% marks in the prescribed minimum for admission. iv) A relaxation of 5% marks from the prescribed minimum shall be allowed in the case of physically handicapped persons. v) Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in more than one chance in the subject (excluding languages) will have their percentage marks derated at the rate of 5% for every additional appearance for the purpose of ranking. vi) Reservation of seats shall be as per the norms of Govt. of Kerala · `Must have qualified in the entrance examination for MCA conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination or any other agencies authorized by the Govt. of Kerala. · Candidates who have degrees awarded from Universities other than M G University shall submit Eligibility Certificate from Mahatma Gandhi University as well as Migration Certificate at the time of admission. · Candidates who have appeared for the final examination can also apply. Selection of such candidates shall be subject to the production of qualifying degree at the time of admission. Lateral MCA (Two Year) A candidate seeking admission to the direct 2nd year of MCA course must have i) A pass with not less than 50% marks in recognized regular Bachelor of Science Degree course with minimum three years duration in the discipline of Computer Science or Information Technology with Mathematics/ statistics as a Subsidiary subject at the Degree level OR A pass with not less than 50% marks in BCA degree of minimum three years duration from a recognized University. ii) For SEBC and physically handicapped candidates, the aggregate marks required are 45%. For SC and ST candidate, a minimum pass in the degree examination is sufficient. iii) Candidate seeking admission to the course should be qualified from any University in Kerala or any other Universities, recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala. iv) Final Year regular Bachelor’s Degree students are also permitted to appear for the Entrance Examination subject to the condition that the original degree certificate and mark lists of all parts of the qualifying examination shall be produced by the candidate at the time of admission. v) Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in more than one chance in the subject (excluding languages) will have their percentage of marks derated at the rate of 5% for every additional appearance for the purpose of ranking. Candidates with such degrees awarded by the Mahatma Gandhi University or any other degree recognized as equivalent to degrees in (i) by the Mahatma Gandhi University also are eligible to apply. Reservation of seats shall be as per rules prescribed in the relevant rules by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Kerala.
