About Institution

GOJAN SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND TECHNOLOGY has been functioning from the academic year 2005 - 2006, offering courses in Engineering Degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical and Hotel Management. The founding father of the Gojan School of Business and Technology, as true champion in the cause of professional(Higher) education, have ambitious plans to conduct various courses at the U.G. and P.G. levels in the same campus itself - all under one roof. Towards this direction two more branches of Engineering Degree courses Aeronautical and Information Technology and Master of Business Administration(Affiliated to Anna University, Chennai) courses have been started from the academic year 2007 - 2008 with the approval of AICTE and affiliation to Anna University, Chennai.

Boys Hostel

We provide good hostel facility and hospitality with healthy and hygienic food for our hostel students. The calm and beautiful environment is conducive for studies, suitable for walkers to have a pleasant walk on the well laid pavements under the natural avenues and lawns. There are two separate hostels for boys and girls students accommodating about 200 students. Single room accommodation is given to the final years and PG students. They are also permitted to use their own computers in their own rooms. And also we are providing hostel facility for the faculty members for their own convenience with a single room and permitted to use their own computers or laptops. The Management provides excellent hostel facilities for students (Boys and Girls) in campus. The hostel facilities are of high quality and well equipped. it can accommodate 200 students. Members of the teaching staff are appointed as Resident Tutors in the hostel. The rooms provide most modern facilities and privacy . The hostel has mess facility for students. The mess is highly hygienic and elegant. All students are given four seater rooms and each student is provided with a cot with matress, a study table,a chair in their respective rooms with two attached bathrooms. Each room is provided with two ceiling fans. 1. Reading Room The hostel has a reading room where news papers, periodicals and popular magazines are made available. 2. Television Room The hostel has a separate Television room with cable connection. 3. Internet Facilities Hostel has internet facilities to meet the need of the students . Rules to be followed Students must occupy the rooms allotted to them by the Warden. Students should refrain from anti-social and undesirable activities such as consumption of alcohol, tobacco, gambling, ragging etc. Students are responsible for the cleanliness of their rooms. No student will be allowed to leave the hostel based on a phone call. Parents are requested to give a list of authorized visitors/local guardians. Visitors not mentioned in the list will not be permitted to visit the students in the hostel. Students will be permitted to go home only if the college is closed continuously for five days or more. Any student wishing to attend a function in the house, marriage or any other ceremony will be permitted to go only if the request is made by the parents to the Principal. Visitors are allowed on holidays from 11.00 A.M. to 6.00 P.M.

Library

The Central library is located in a spacious building of 3600 Sq. ft. The library is open to students and staff members from 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on all working days. The library has a rich collection of 7976 Titles and 24902 volumes of text books, reference books, national and international journals in all branches of Engineering, Science, Technology, Management and General Studies and the collection is ever increasing. The books are classified according to Dewey decimal classification scheme. Open access system is followed in the library. The Smart Campus package has been successfully implemented for the circulation activities, by using the barcode. All the books of library are bar-coded

Medical

The Health Centre at Gojan School of Business and Technology is well equipped. It has separate inpatient facility for male and female students. The health centre provides quality health care in a comfortable and confidential environment. The centre has 6 beds and adequately supplied medicine cabinet. The health centre is manned by a medical officer and a healthcare assistant to provide excellent medical care to all the students, staff and faculty at no cost. The Medical Officer Dr. J.Sathya Nesan, Jebamani Hospital manages the various aspects of the facility. She provides quality health care to everyone, evaluates the quality of services, maintains the overall efficiency of the centre and decides the procedures to be followed in case of emergency. Also, vaccinations and yearly check-up are done at this facility. In future we look forward in expanding and bringing in high-tech medical equipments to serve better the students of our college.
