About Institution

Government First Grade College, Molakalmuru, Chitradurga District, karnataka State. Was established by Government of Karnataka in the year 1985. At the beginning years the classes are conducted in the Municipality Building and later the college has shifted to the owned building in the year 2003.
Now the college has 11.4 acers undisputed land. The college building was constructed in 1 acer area and the remaining land can be used for further development. At present it has 11 class rooms, 1 computer lab, staff room and seperate rest rooms for girls.
It was accredidated by NAAC with C++ grade in 2007 March. Re-accredidation is due in 2014. It has a student strength of 578 and offering cources like BA, BBM,BSW & BCOM. Of the students 56% belongs to SC & ST. 42% belongs to OBC.
The Molakalmuru is located 83 kms away from chitradurga district and 255 kms from Bangalore. Majority of the residents belongs to SC,ST & OBC, it is 13 kms away from Andra Pradesh Border. Government of Karnataka has declared this place as backward area.
There is no Government or Private Degree Colleges surrounding 30 Kms.
