Government Women’s Polytechnic had first opened its doors in 1986 in Chas area of Bokaro. In 1997 the college was shifted in its own building situated at Balidih in Bokaro, a World Bank Project.Our Polytechnic is well-equipped with Residential Facility. Our Polytechnic today has an outstanding reputation throughout the community and beyond. We actively encourage parents to support our training, teaching and learning programs. Our parent body meets regularly and there is a high level of involvement and support from our parents and volunteers in classrooms, the library, assisting in sports’ coaching, academics & cultural areas.
Government Women’s Polytechnic, Bokaro aims to increase the regions competitiveness by preparing diploma holders to move directly into professional and technical careers and to become ethical leaders in their professional, public and personal lives.
Responsive and innovative teaching process that regimes diversity of learning needs and styles are also put in place to meet the changing needs of students.
