About Institution

Government Girls Polytechnic, Lucknow was established in the year of 1963 with three diploma courses, situated at Guru Govind Singh Marg, Charbagh, Lucknow in the capital of Uttar Pradesh.At the time of its start this was the only polytechnic in the state for imparting technical education to women and to develop their personality. The existing institute was constructed under world bank scheme, the institue being shifted from Guru Govind Singh Marg, Charbagh to the present Faizabad Road location, in the year of 1996 with the accquired land area of approximately 26.32 acres.
