About Institution

This Polytechnic is a Government Institution situated at Bondel, Mangalore and it was established in the year 1970.The Institution is located in a sprawling campus of 12.16 acres.At present, the Polytechnic is wholly run by the Government of Karnataka and comes under the Directorate of Technical Education, Bangalore. This is a highly reputed institution and is a recipient of various projects like Direct Central Assistance Scheme of Government of India / World Bank Aid for the development activities / State Government Finances / MODROBS from AICTE / Community development through Polytechnics / up gradation of existing Polytechnics Scheme / Women's Hostel from MHRD / CCTEK/PWD Scheme etc.

Mission

Government Polytechnic for Women, Mangalore is an Institution providing Technical Education and Training to Women at post Secondary level. It also provides non-formal continuing education of varied short durations to adults, including physically disabled.
