Guru Nanak Foundation was established in 1965, to commemorate the 500th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in November, 1969. Guru Nanak Foundation Public Schools is the brain child of Late Dr. Inderjit Singh Ji, Founder Chairman of the School Management Committee and formerly President of Guru Nanak Foundation, New Delhi. It was due to his firm commitment to the cause of education, missionary zeal, benevolent-patronage and personal interest that our first school was launched on 14th April, 1993 in Patiala. To carry forward his message of love, selfless service to society, promotion of social and moral values, Guru Nanak Foundation has entrusted the Presidentship of the Foundation on the shoulders of Sardar Tejbir Singh Ji, an able administrator, enthusiastic, progressive and worthy son of Late Dr. Inderjit Singh Ji. Under the dynamic chairmanship of Sardar Tejbir Singh Ji, all the schools are doing their best to accomplish the targets envisioned by the founder. Today Guru Nanak Foundation has two successful schools running in Patiala and Mohali, and is launching the third in Jalandhar on its 50th year anniversary this 2015.
