About Institution

Established in 2008 as “Himachal institute of Pharmacy” with B. Pharm. course, the institution has made a steady progress during last 3 years. In the upcoming year 2012 with the intention of making this institution a centre of higher learning, we are planning to start M. Pharm. post graduate level, i.e. M. Pharm. in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy. The course conducted in this Institution is recognized by Government of Himachal Pradesh,Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi and All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. B. Pharm. Course is affiliated to Himachal Technical University, Hamirpur.

Vision

Himachal institute of Pharmacy” has always strived to be a top pharmacy college in the H.P. It has the primary responsibility of creating qualified and trained pharmacists who deliver pharmaceutical care to citizens either independently or in collaboration with other major pharmaceutical industries.In the new global scenario the group has set its vision to be ahead of others in terms of imparting knowledge, skills, training to the future pharmacists catering to the needs of the industry, academia, patient care, regulatory authorities, etc.

Mission

Strong research activities of the group help the students at UG level to acquire research based knowledge and skills at a very early stage enabling them to shape their career objectives.
Participating in the development of new therapeutic entities, their characterization, development of newer drug delivery systems for such drugs, analytical and bio-analytical back-up and evaluating the delivery of pharmaceutical care are some of the research focus of the group.
