Himalayan Institute of Technology and management is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi and affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) Lucknow.

The Himalaya, a source of inspiration and challenge to the researchers, intellectuals and adventurers. The lofty mountains with snow-clad peaks and lush green forests fascinate one & all. They are a great sign of India’s geographical strength and cultural heritage par excellence.

We understand the true essence of the Himalayan culture and ethos and in order to preserve and recognize the true cultural ambience of the region we took this initiative to set up a value based educational centre of excellence in the name of the great Himalayan range.

Himalayan Institute of Technology & Management (HITM) envisages to enrich our cult by the inspirational mystical touch of Himalayan ethos coupled with valued based technological and innovation oriented education.
The institute has separate academic and administrative blocks, a huge library, several large state-of-art computer labs, separate hostels for boys and girls and a cafeteria.

The vision of the institute is to be a unique and world class nucleating Apex center of Excellence in area of Engineering & Technology, Management, Pharmacy & Hotel Management so as to enhance India's Technological strength in Engineering & Technology and to become a pace-setting institution for other similar institutions to be established in future.

The socially conscious founding fathers decided to develop a strong knowledge base to further the cause of humanity, multicultural understanding, tolerance and justice so that all nations can grow in the environment of mutual cooperation and peaceful co-existence. We firmly believe in “Knowledge is Empowerment” , the institution’s search for excellence and goal achievement is paramount for national development .We at HITM our well planed Quality Policy to establish a system of Quality Assurance, which would on a continuous basis evaluate and monitor the quality of education and training imparted at the Institute, improve the teaching-learning process and ultimately, develop the Institute as a Centre of Excellence.
