About Institution

The Sonepat Hindu Educational & Charitable Society was established in 1914 with an aim to benefit the Society not only of Sonepat or Haryana, but of India as a whole. At present it is having 14 institutions under its umbrella with about 20,000 students and 1500 teaching and non-teaching staff.

This Hindu College of Engineering has come into existence in 1999. This institute is duly approved by AICTE and affiliated to M. D. University, Rohtak / DCRUST Murthal. This institute offers 4 Years B. Tech. programs in six disciplines namely CSE, IT, ECE, EE, ME and Civil Engineering.

This college has started M. Tech. Courses in ECE and CSE disciplines from 2010-11 session and Electrical Engineering from 2011-12 session.

The opulent infrastructure of the College is spreaded over 10 acres of land. The institute is well equipped with laboratories, workshops, library, spacious class rooms, Canteen, hostels (for boys and girls separately) etc. The College has a well stocked library with 15,000 books and 64 Journals / magazines. IEEE online subscription is also available in library round the clock.

Mission

To spread the light of knowledge through formal engineering education, at affordable cost, in the remotest corner of the region so as to generate a vast body of human resources replete with moral values and ethics, capable enough to make a contribution towards the formation of a healthy society and a stronger nation, and to work towards women empowerment through education resulting in the realization of the potential of a large section of society so far neglected and ignored. Quality and innovative education has always been a key factor of the strategy of this college.
