HMS Institute of Technology (HMSIT), Tumkur was established in 1997 under H.M.S Education Society with the objective of providing technical education. It is affliated to Visweswaraya Technological Univeristy, Belgaum, approved by All India Concil for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and courses accredited by NBA.The main of HMS is to create academic excellence by imbibing state of art technology, to generate new knowledge base through high-end technology, to produce new graduates to surge ahead to face futuristic and realistic challenges.
