The central and state government have made considerable effort to enhance the skill of the youth there continues to be a huge gap between the demand and supply of skilled workforce. This is magnified by the fact that with a population of a billion plus people and majority in the average age of 25 years nearly 300 million are underemployed or unemployed. On the other side industry is in acute shortage of skilled labour. This clearly highlights that most of our population is under skilled and therefore unemployable.
The Indian Institute of Skill Development (IISD) has been established with a primary objective to enhance skills of youth of India to meet the growing demand of modern industrialization in India. We are trusted NSDC training partners and embrace NSDC’s vision of starting today to be a part of changing face of tomorrow, to building a locally employable, nationally demanded and globally prepared skilled workforce.
IISD started its operations in 2009 and quickly scaled up to functional three training centres by now in Himachal Pradesh at Parwanoo, Baddi & Nahaan. Our head office is located right in the capital of our country Delhi NCR. With ever growing student strength we have aptly abled staff to complement and ensure smooth operations throughout our offices. We can proudly boast of having bagged prestigious projects under NSDC-National Skill Development Corporation, India; NYKS under Ministry of Sports, Textile projects under Ministry of Textiles and many more. We have various other projects running simultaneously and at present are at an important phase of growth where we are looking for dynamic people to handle various projects for us at different levels.
