The proposed Indira Gandhi Memorial B.Ed. College will play an important role in the area of education. The proposed college will be run by the ‘Pilibangan Shikshan Samiti’,Pilibangan, which was established in the year 1977-78 by the eminent persons of the town. It is registered under Institutions Registration Act 1958.In the beginning the Samiti had taken some steps to improve upon the educational standard of the backward and poor people of the town in the form of financial assistance.
The Samiti decided to arrange for the Higher Educational facilities to the students of the town. Finally they started a degree college named ‘Indira Gandhi Memorial College’ in the year 1993.Since 1993 the college is providing higher education upto the degree level in the faculties of Arts, Computer and Commerce.In continuation the Samiti started an English medium school in the town which is affiliated to the C.B.S.E.,Delhi from the ensuing session i.e 2007-08 upto the ‘Secondary’ level. With the aim of providing more educational facilities, the Samiti has decided to start a ‘teacher training college’ in the town. To achieve this target the Samiti sent an application to the NCTE Regional office, Jaipur, for ‘No objection Certificate’.The college will be affiliated to the University of Bikaner, Bikaner, after the recognation is granted by the NCTE, Jaipur.
