About Institution

The Institutes Of Driving & Traffic Research are a joint venture between the Department of Transport of State Governments and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. The first IDTR was inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Sheila Dikshit in March 2000. IDTR has adopted world class systems and quality standards. All the institutes are spread over an area of more than 10 acres and have scientifically engineered training & testing tracks of international standards.

Being the country’s No. 1 car manufacturer, Maruti has taken upon itself the responsibility to manage IDTRs which are dedicated to making Indian roads safer.
