The Isha Yoga Center, locally known as simply “the ashram,” is located on 150 acres of lush land at the foothills of the Velliangiri Mountains. Surrounded by thick forests, it is a part of the Nilgiri Biosphere, a national reserve forest with abundant wildlife. Created as a powerful center for inner growth, this popular destination attracts people from all parts of the world and is unique in its offering of all the four major paths of yoga – Gnana (knowledge), Karma (action), Kriya (energy), and Bhakthi (devotion).
