About Institution

The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Paschim Medinipur was established in July 2006 and started functioning from March 2007 in a temporary site of TCPC, Govt. of West Bengal. The Vidyalaya shifted to its permanent site at Muradanga on 12th August 2013. In the session 2014-15 the anticipated students strength is approximately 270 and has 19 staff in total (both teaching and non-teaching).The vidyalaya has been working under Ministry of Human Resource Development in the Department of Higher Education & School Education, Govt. of India. The vidyalaya is co-educational residential school fully financed by the Govt. of India through an autonomous organization, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
