Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, East Godavari is situated on a small hill called Pandavulametta which has got importance of its own in the historical town of Peddapuram. The vidyalaya is located in a sprawling campus.The vidyalaya is at a distance about 25 kms from the destiny town of Kakinada, the Head Quarters of East Godavari District. For the last twenty years Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Peddapuram is striving hard to achieve and actualize the aim and objectives of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti and as a result, this Vidyalaya has grown in to a centre of excellence in East Godavari District. The performance of students has been commendable in terms of achievements in academics, sports, games and other co-curricular activities. It has been proved successful in its goal of quality education to the talented children studying in this institution.
The climatic condition of the district is normal and hot during summer.
