About Institution

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya SANDHUAN which was established in the year 1986-87 has grown leaps and bounds in a short span of time & carved a niche for itself in the region of PUNJAB in field of Education.

The school is located near the historical town of Chamkaur Sahib which is known for supreme scarification made by two young sons of the tenth Sikh Guru Gobind Singh Ji, fighting against the tyranny of Mughals.

Ever its inception, the Vidyalaya has been interestingly and earnestly striving towards achieving its objectives envisaged by the NVS. This Vidyalaya have an honor of having a good infrastructure with well-equipped science labs and a library, an advanced computer labs, big play grounds, firing range and a gym. NCC, NSS, Scouts and Guides are among many other co-curricular activities which form a very prominent aspect of Vidyalaya activities besides academics to foster holistic development of the children.
