About Institution

J.K.K.Natarajah founded the J.K.K.Rangammal Charitable Trust in the year 1969 which runs many educational institutions now and has fast become a pioneering leader in educating the masses, in diverse fields. One among them is J.K.K.Nattaraja College of Pharmacy and Research Institute, Komarapalayam established in the year 1985. Later, with the same vision he established J.K.K.Nattaraja Dental College in the year 1987. Sre Sakthimayeil Institute of Nursing and Research, J.K.K.Nattaraja College of Engineering and Technology, J.K.K.Nattaraja Play School were also established then by the Managing Trustee Srimathi. N. SENDAMARAAI who is an extra conceptual personality with an exemplary vision and guidance in developing these institutions. The whole campus situated in a picturesque surrounding, facing the National Highway-544 in Komarapalayam.

Komarapalayam is an industrial town, located on the border of Namakkal, Salem and Erode districts of TamilNadu, flanked by River Cauvery on one side and National Highway-544 which connects Chennai via Salem with Cochin and Trivandrum on the other side. The institution is located 2 kms (East) away from Komarapalayam along the NH-544.

All the departments in Pharmacy College are active in research and most are judged to be of International standards in their research. It is no surprise that the college as a whole attracts large number of students from various countries like Kenya, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Mauritius, Oman, Muscat etc.

Vision

To be a referral center in Pharmaceutical education and to conduct cutting edge multi-disciplinary research for the advancement and dissemination of knowledge. J.K.K.Nataraja College of Pharmacy will improve the human index condition by developing Pharmacists and by advancing knowledge together with its application through research. This vision will be achieved through student-centered instruction and research in a collaborative, dynamic academic and practice environment.

Mission

The aim of the College of Pharmacy is to provide programmes that will prepare the students from the technological, legal, civic and moral responsibilities of the profession. The fundamental aim of an ideal pharmacy education programme in the college is based on professional intellectual, social and personal perspectives.
Provide students with the knowledge, skills, judgment, professional attitudes, and values to deliver contemporary patient care in a changing health care environment;
Promote the development of teaching excellence, innovation, continuous quality improvement, and creativity in the context of interdisciplinary patient-centered care;
Develop and enhance students’ skills in problem solving, critical thinking, and individual and group communication;
Facilitate and encourage the development of mature, independent, and life-long learners in a diverse student body with different learning styles.
