There is a phenomenal growth in the technical education at all levels in the country.Technicians constitute a formidable workforce in India. In order to meet the challenges beforeus, Kolar Jilla Technical Education Trust was established in the year 1986 by the dedicated efforts of the trustees & educationists with the sole object of providing an essential technical education to the rural students and also to infuse in the younger aspirants of the border community the importance of technical education.This polytechnic caters to the needs of the students coming from rural areas and who are from economically and socially backward families who are denied admissions in government polytechnics in face of stiff competition from the urban students.
