Kalvithanthai A.K.R. Sourashtra Teacher’s College was started by Sourashtra Vidhya Rakshak A.K.R. Educational Society, Thoomatti Rangasamy Lane, Kamarajar Salai, Madurai – 625 009 in the year 2005-2006 as a private, and purely service oriented Self Financing Institution register under Tamilnadu Societies Registration and desirously pledge to pioneer the cause of education with an endless endeavour specifically on Teacher Education. The Trust achieved the task of establishing this college with a B.Ed. course under the able leadership of the Honorary Secretary of the Society Sri A.K. Ramamoorthy L.M.E., is the founder and the secretary, correspondent of the institution incepted this college with B.Ed course and has been successfully running it to materialize his vision of taking the young and scholarly minds to the Vicinity to Truth.
