Kandula Obul Reddy Memorial College of Engineering (KORMCE) is situated beside KSRMCE, 7Kms away from the town in the sprawling and serene atmosphere on Kadapa to Pulivendula state highway in calm and salubrious area of 12 acres. Kadapa is on Renigunta and Guntakal railway line connecting major cities like Chennai, Mumbai and Hyderabad etc. Excellent bus facilities exist from Kadapa to major towns. The nearest airport is Tirupathi.
The college is started with a view to pay a rich tribute to Sri.Kandula Obul Reddy a celebrity of yester years and philanthropist. Late Sri.Kandula Obul Reddy had an earnest desire to impart quality education in Rayalaseema, the backward region of Andhra Pradesh. He was a great visionary who envisaged the mportance of technical education in Kadapa district. It was with this end in view that he has started a an industrial training institute at Vempalli and subsequently an Engineering college namely K.S.R.M to perpetuate the memory of his youngest son late Sri.K.Srinivasa Reddy who met with his untimely death in a scooter accident while he was studying 3rd B.Tech Mechanical Engineering at New Delhi College of Engineering , New Delhi. Sri.K.Sivananda Reddy son of late Sri.K.Obul Reddy established KORM college of Engineering in this backward Rayalaseema region. KORMCE is being under the aegis of Kandula Obul Reddy Educational Society with Sri.K.Sivananda Reddy as the Chairman. The establishment of KORMCE added another feather in the cap of the management.
