Kendriya Vidyalaya, Aruvankadu was started in the year 1975. The Vidyalaya has classes from I to XII with an enrolment of 747. Class XI Science Stream was begun for the session 2004-05. The school is situated in the campus of Cordite Factory, Aruvankau (Defence), District: The Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu - 643202. The Vidyalaya has maintained high academic standards with 100% results in the 2011 CBSE Class X Examination which placed it at the top among the Kendriya Vidyalayas of Chennai Region.
