About Institution

Kendriya Vidyalaya which started functioning from August 2010 with one section, sanctioned by KVS in July 2010. The admission process was completed by 31st August 2010, initially started with classes I to V and the enrollment has been optimum in all classes, with the strength of students being 198.

The Vidyalaya at present is temporarily situated in the campus of the Govt. Model Higher Primary School, opposite to Koppal City Municipal Corporation which is at a distance of about 200 m from Koppal Central Bus Stand. The school building was inaugurated by Hon’ble MP Shri Shivaramagouda on 23rd August 2010.

Seen in the picture are Hon’ble MP Shri Shivaramagouda inaugurating Kendriya Vidyalaya Koppal, Shri Karadi Sanganna MLA and Shri K.S. Satyamurthy IAS, Dy.Commissioner & Chairman VMC, Mr. S.S. Upadhyaya, the then I/C Principal and other dignitaries.

KVS envisions itself a world class organization in school education committed to continually empowering teachers to actualize inside out synergy in students and enable them to fulfill futuristic societal, national and global needs and aspirations.

To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government employees including defence and para military personnel by providing a common programme of education.
To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education.
To initiate and promote experimentations and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like CBSE, NCERT, etc.
To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of “Indianness” among children.
