Kendriya Vidyalaya Kutra established in the year 2010 under Civil Sector, is a premier educational institution in the town. It is functioning in a temporary building at Centre Primary School, Kutra which is on the Sundargarh – Rourkela State High Way. It has been set up to cater to the educational needs of the children of Central Govt. Employees including Defence Personnels, Autonomous bodies under Central & State Govt., State Govt. Employees, & floating population. It follows the curriculum of CBSE, New Delhi and run by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous organization under Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, New Delhi.
