KLE’S C B. KORE POLYTECHNIC was established in the year 1984 to provide technical education to rural youth, with sole aim to provide technical education to northern tribal part of border Karnataka. At the inception five diploma courses are granted. In the beginning, classes were conducted in B K. COLLEGE campus. 6 Acres 19 gunts land was purchased in a Hirekudi village.Prof. M A. Wali was the first Principal who took initiation to build separate building. The naming ceremony of the polytechnic was done 6th February 1990 by then Chief Minister Shri. Veerendra Patil and Central Minister Shri B. Shankaranand.
