Mar Baselios Public School is the realization of a great vision of His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Mathews II, the former Catholicos who cherished a dream of establishing an ideal public school with a sound basis in our national culture coupled with an international outlook. Now the school is steadily progressing towards its vision under the direct patronage of the present Catholicos of the East and Malankara Metropolitan H.H. Baselios Marthoma Didymus I, the Manager of the School. Drawing out the best from every student and making him/her a harmoniously blended personality with intellectual brightness, moral uprightness, emotional maturity and social commitment have been the compelling forces behind this vision.
The school's first academic year commenced in June 2001 with the pre-primary classes (Lower Kindergarten and Upper Kindergarten) on the 17.5acre church land in the unpolluted and serene locale of Devalokam. Standards I and II commenced in 2002-2003. In the following years the school started classes from Standard IV to X with CBSE Affiliation No. 930633 dated 01/03/2006. Our Play school and Nursery - Eurokids Mar Baselios, a franchise of a Denmark based chain of international schools has gained tremendous popularity because of its impressive curriculum and specially trained teachers. Eurokids was started with modern infrastructure in June 2005.
The School's vision is to mould well-integrated balanced personalities - intellectually bright morally upright, spiritually inspired, emotionally mature, culturally strengthened, aesthetically renewed and socially committed. Here the emphasis is to accept the child as a unique person and as an important member of the community, paving way for the integrated development of his total personality.
