Mata Jaswant Kaur Memorial School is a school established for the uplift of the poorest of the poor from surrounding villages in Badal, in the Muktsar District of Punjab. State-of-the-art amenities and excellent teaching staff add to the quality of this entirely charitable enterprise begun by the Chaudhari Devi Lal Memorial Trust. No tuition fee is charged, and clothes as well and books are supplied by the school. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, and follows the CBSE pattern of CCE in its evaluation procedure. Three meals are provided to the Junior Wing entirely free of cost. The entire Junior Wing is provided with three Tata vehicles for commuting from the respective villages of the one hundred and eighty children studying in it.
