Mata Sahib Kaur Girls College was established in July 1997 by the then SGPC President Jathedar Sardar Gurcharn Singh Tohra. The college is named after the mother of Khalsa Panth, Mata Sahib Kaur Ji. The main endeavour behind was to inculcate basic as well as value education to the girl students of this otherwise backward region of the prosperous state. The land was blessed as 'Guru Ki Kashi' by the tenth Guru Guru Gobind Singh Ji since then it has flourished as leading educational center. The college is situated in a serene, pollution free and pious land of Damdama Sahib quite close to Takht Shri Damdama Sahib. Its campus covers an area of about 14 acres of land having a beautiful hostel ,well equipped laboratories and a suitable stadium for various games. We promise every student to give them better education as well as influential personality

This institution has been serving in the religious town with the sincerity and dedication. In the beginning there was only degree courses which was introduced but with the advancement of technology and modernization we introduced some professional courses i.e BCA, BBA, B.COM and some PG courses like PGDCA,PGDFD, Msc IT and MA Punjabi,MA History. Along with bookish knowledge we are including moral values also with the help of Gumat Sangeet and Gurmat studies for developing social values and spirit of co-operation . We have N.S.S wing, E.C.A department which enhance the artistic talent in students.
