National Higher Secondary School was founded in 1951 as a middle school with classes 6 to 8 by Mr. Maria Selvam Reddy who was a State ‘Best Teacher ‘ Awardee. The school came into existence with the least strength of 70 Students and 4 Teachers. It became a perfect Govt- Aided middle school with Classes 1 to 8 in 1962. On 23rd June 1980 it was upgraded into a High school and later it was permitted to serve as Examination centre from the Academic Year 1981-1982. On 28 th June 1988 , the school was further upgraded as Higher secondary school.
