Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu took part in the Kapu Job Mela which was organaised by the State Kapu Federation at Ibrahimpatnam on Friday. The Job Mela was being conducted at Nova Engineering College from the past three days.
Addressing a gathering, the Chief Minister said that the students of Kapu community studying degree would receive a scholarship of Rs 10,000 and Rs 6,000 for intermediate. He further stated that the government has allotted Rs 1,000 crore for the development of Kapu community.
The Chief Minister Naidu congratulated the youngsters who secured jobs at the mela and issued appointment letters to them. He also stated that the government is also encouraging the overseas education and supporting the youth who wish to pursue higher studies abroad. He further said that Rs 10 lakh would be given to the students who want to go abroad for higher studies.
Deputy Chief Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa said that the demand for including the Kapu community in the backward classes has brought by TDP and the Chief Minister is committed to his promise. He also said that the Kapu Corporation is working to their best in engaging youth in various skill development programmes and arranging job melas for the unemployed youth in securing jobs.
Minister for Municipal Administration P Narayana, Minister of BC Welfare Kollu Ravindra, Minister for Water Resources Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao and other government officials took part in the event.
