Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) will get an e-tutorial
platform that will act as single space where all the information regarding the
students will be provided. The announcement for the launch of this e-tutorial
was made by the Union Human Resource Development Minister (HRD) Smriti Irani on
Friday.
The programme will be named as the
‘Kendriya Vidyalaya Shaala Darpan’ which will be initiated by the Kendriya
Vidyalaya Sangathan. This is expected to define the e-governance, good
governance and digital India initiative to one step closer to achieve the goal
of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s creating a digital India.
Irani while addressing the media said,
“Parents will get information about their children in respect to their
attendance status, performance, health challenges and entire academic record
from Class 1 to 12. Students will have facilities of e-tutorials to enrich
their knowledge.”
The project is expected to link all the
1,100 Kendriya Vidyalayas around the nation and make a nexus around the central
schools. Minister of State for Human Resource Development Upendra Kushwaha had
earlier said that the programme would help bringing in transparency in
administration and governance.
