The Indian Institute of Technology Madras today signed an agreement with Curtin university, Australia.
"IIT-Madras has embarked on a systematic program of research collaboration with leading Universities around the world. We envision a four-stage process, starting with faculty interactions, leading to research scholar exchanges and joint supervision of PhDs, culminating over time in joint doctorate programs," Dean of International and Alumni Relations at IIT Madras, Prof R Nagarajan said in a release issued here.
"We are happy that with Curtin University, we have reached the stage of signing a joint doctoral program," he said.
Curtin University is located in the state of Western Australia and is recognised as the leading engineering teaching and research training provider in the state.
