About Institution

The Nilgiri College of Arts & Science (NCAS) is a dream project of the Career Development Foundation Trust, registered in 2007 registered in Coimbatore.

NCAS is located in the village of Thaloor lying in the scenic valley of the Nilgiris of international fame. It occupies a pivotal spot sharing the socio-economic traits of the three states i.e. Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka.

Western Ghats, of which the Nilgiris form an integral part, is now a UNESCO accredited World Heritage Site. Tamil, the official language of the Tamil Nadu has been recognized as a Classical Language that legitimately shares the status of official language in Sri Lanka and Singapore also. This region lies under the educational jurisdiction of the Bharathiar University which is named after the national poet Mahakavi Bharathiar. NCAS upholds these geographical and cultural legacies resolving to maintain its distinctive natural environment.
