About Institution

The N.S.S. Polytechnic College, Pandalam is one of the three polytechnic in Kerala, started in 1958 in private sector under the Second Five Year Plan. The foundation stone of the building laid by Bharatha Kesari, Padmabhushan, Mannathu Padmanabhan, a man who had dedicated his whole life for the development of socially and economically backward people, on 10.02.1958.

This is the first technical institution started by the Nair Service Society, an organization registered under the Non-trading Companies Act, dedicated to serve the people with missionary spirit, for over eighty years.
The N.S.S Polytechnic is situated at Mannam Nagar, Pandalam Thekkekara Panchayat, and 7.5 KM south east of Pandalam in Pathanamthitta District. The site is a hill surrounded by paddy fields with a rural charm of its own. This Polytechnic is an aided private institution, run under the financial assistance of Central & State Governments. It conducts at present Three Year Diploma Courses in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication and Computer Engineering, leading to the award of diploma by The State Board of Technical Education, Kerala State. The Students of this Institution are maintaining outstanding result for the last so many years.
