Nutanhat Teachers' Training Institute is a B.Ed (Bachelors of Education) College which was established in 2012 .It is recognised by N.C.T.E (National Council of Teachers Education) & affiliated to the University of Burdwan. Situated at Nutanhat, a rural growth centre of the District Burdwan and is located at Nutanhat Katwa Road, besides the river Ajay. NTTI is a renowned B.Ed. College of West Bengal.It provides excellent academic support and other facilities.

Vision

The Teachers' Training institute established at Nutanhat , a rural area of West Bengal aspires to be model in respect of high quality in Teacher Education Courses that may compete with National and International standard. Various innovative experiments are being conducted by erudite scholars and theorists .The well qualified and experienced faculty of NTTI are expected to contribute immensely to the fulfilment of the educational needs of twenty first century.

Mission

The Mission of the Institute is to build up a catalytic centre in West Bengal, from where would radiate creative thoughts and ideas in the sphere of School Education. Dedications, Skil improvements as well as foresights regarding imminent needs of Education are the components of high imaginations of this Teachers' Education Institute. The competency areas will include the following:
Contextual Competencies comprising a wider view of the development of education in society and teachers' role in it.Conceptual Competencies- including various concepts of education and learning.
Transactional Competencies.
Competencies related to ICT (Information Communication Technology) based teaching learning.
Evaluation competencies.
Competencies related to community contact and co-operation for value components in Teacher Education. All these teachers' competencies are to be developed during teacher training.Moreover, teaching being a profession, the following important areas of commitments will be covered in the teacher education curriculum: commitments to
(i)the learner,
(ii)the society,
(iii)the profession,
(iv)attaining excellence for professional actions and
(v)basic values. Thus the vision of college is to improve all the three major factors of quality concerned in teacher Education namely, input, process and output.
