Orissa Institute of Engineering and Technology (OIET), Dhenkanal, is sister concern of the Mahavir Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET), Bhubaneswar run under the aegis of the Nabajuga Educational and Charitable Trust, Bhubaneswar. Orissa Institute of Engineering and Technology is a novel venture of the richly experienced and prudent trust is being the architect behind several elite technical institutions which have an exalted vision to create an advanced centre of professional learning of international repute in the hilly and verdant city of Dhenkanal, where pursuit of knowledge and excellence shall reign supreme free from all constraints whatsoever.

Orissa Institute of Engineering and Technology is affiliated to the State Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training, Orissa and approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Set up in 2008 and one of the fastest growing Engineering Institute in Orissa offering Diploma course in Engineering, Orissa Institute of Engineering and Technology is situated at Paik Dahikor beside NH-42 km from the Bus Stand and 12 km from the Railway Station of Dhenkanal.
