About Institution

To provide quality education to underprivileged girl children, the PSGR Krishnammal Higher Secondary School for Girls was born in 1956, fulfilling a long-felt need. Entering its 60th year, it is one of the oldest educational institution in Coimbatore dedicated exclusively for girls. Today, this temple of learning has more than 2,000 students on its rolls from Std VI to Std XII.

Sprawling over an area of five acres, in a lush green atmosphere, it provides the ideal environment for academic excellence. The infrastructure comprises separate blocks for Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary sections.

Bright, airy and well-furnished classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, spacious library with more than 14,000 books and a wide array of audio-visual aids provide excellent support to learning.
