Pune Vidyarthi Griha has been an outstanding charitable Institution and is more than a century old. The increasing demands of Society and self employment opportunities, besides many other factors were responsible to force the founders of Pune Vidyarthi Griha to start a humble beginning in the area of Education & Training in Printing in 1929. The efforts were recognized by Government of India and Maharashtra by granting permission to Pune Vidyarthi Griha to conduct 3 years Diploma in Printing Technology.

The hard work of Maharashtra Institute of Printing Technology has now anchored itself in the field of Education & Training in Printing. Maharashtra Institute of Printing Technology is also working as LEAD centre and is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. It is also a recognized Community Polytechnic and co-ordinates with Ministry of Human Resource Development and Research, New Delhi in the area of Community Development. Printing Technology hovers around everybody all the time, everywhere in one form or the other.
