About Institution

Rajiv Gandhi institute of Management and Science sponsored by Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Social Security, a Society registered under registration act, has started its operations with the affiliation of Andhra University and approval by AICTE in the year 1991-92. As the college developed a clear focus and direction and preferred to specialize in the field of Management. MBA program was stated with relevant approvals and affiliations from the government of Andhra Pradesh, Andhra University and AICTE. The college has adequate infrastructure to conduct the above programme. And is always in a regular process of up gradation. We have a library with more than 9000 volumes.

The college has a well equipped computer center with over 150 computers connected to novell, windows 2000 and LINUX networks. The college is going for wi-fi connectivity. The college has a high speed broad band connection to provide internet facilities to all the staff and students. The society is always making all the necessary arrangements to improve the infrastructure facilities. The society has also made budget allocation for the construction of new building. The college has an indigenously designed website www.rimsmba.org. The college plans to post the resumes of students and start an alumni club through this website. We regularly organize guest lectures and workshops by industrial experts and professional. We arrange study visits to various industries, yoga and meditation is also being arranged for the students.

In addition to the above programmes, the college often conducts personality development programmes like group discussion, group tasks, and mock interviews to improve the communication and presentation skills and to build up leader ship qualities. Every year the college is proud of the celebrations of our annual techno-cultural festival, where in the students have a wonderful opportunity to exhibit their artistic talent. This celebration also helps them to get a live and first hand experience in event management. This festival organized by the students of RIMS has seminars on the latest trends by professionals and the cultural nite, where in the students of RIMS exhibit their artistic talents.
