In the field of education, across the entire Konkan and the whole Maharashtra the most recognized and reputed, The Ratnagiri Education society, is going to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee in 2009, and this very year is incidentally the Diamond jubilee year of the society's R.B.Shirke Prashala too. We are really delighted to meet you by the letter communication.
Having inspired by the Honourable Maharshi Karve, late Mrs. Malatibai Josh and Mr. Baburao Joshi, the truly education devoted couple, established the society in the year of 1933.
In the glowing light of that Dnyan Yagnya commenced in 1925 with just three girls through the means of Mahila Vidyalaya today nearly eleven thousand students have been taking advantage of education, from nursery to post graduation in the various categories of the institution.
The prominent branches of the institution -two colleges, four secondary schools, two primary schools, Institute of computer, sewing skill course and musical academy, are performing significantly.
We are sincerely aware of the fact that the said development of the institution is only possible because of you; the generous and kind hearted donors.
We are always in the remembrance of the great visionary, our former chief executive late Hon'ble Aruappa Joshi, who for the availability of necessary education for the students of Konkan, aimed to develop the R.E. Society as much as possible.We are bound to cherish his Aim, words. Heroic deeds and Determination and to be dutiful accordingly.
While in the rapid growth in the number of students and the physical amenity, our institution has never ignored the thorough development of the students.
Gogate Joglekar college's acquisition of NAAC's four star standard, Shirke high school's 1st position in the Sane Guruji Abhiyan in the consecutive two years at divisional level (amongst Ratnagiri, Sindhudurga, Kolhapur, Satara and Sangali). The meritorious in the Kolhapur boards HSC examinations of our Abhyakar-Kulkarni Junior College, the highest results of SSC examinations, the bright success of the students in the scholarship examinations, are the remarkable achievements of the institution.
