About Institution

Rajendra Mishra College, Saharsa founded on July 01, 1978, initially offered education in commerce only as the township had no other seat of higher education having such a facility for the young learners. As the institution with its team of enthusiastic faculty members established its identity within a very short span, the elite of the society thought of developing the college into a capable centre of degree education in Arts and Science as well. Thus the swelling number of admission seekers who had to witness the doors closed for them due to the fixed seat quota in the other colleges of this district headquarters saw a ray of hope in Rajendra Mishra College. The Kosi Region was a mute spectator to devastating floods year after year and the only hope lay in seeking higher education and capabilities for earning in a state of uncertainty like this, Rajendra Mishra College surfaced as a dream college assuring knowledge, quality, excellence and innovative skills for the larger student community.
This institution is named after Pt. Rajendra Mishra as a mark of respect to their truest son of the Kosi region who worked all his life for ameliorating the economic plight of the people against all forms of social injustice.
By his relentless efforts he kindled the hope of life through self employment, education and development.
