In the year 1969 a team of dedicated persons of Jammu realized the need to start an institution that lays strong emphasis on traditional values so that students would become ethical and responsible human beings. It was with the urge that Late Sh. Dev Dutt Mengi developed this concept into practical entity by laying the foundation of Shiksha Niketan as an impressive, inspiring and excellent institution to imbibe, spread light knowledge. He had an urge to render some unique services in the field of education.

In pursuance to his vision, the birth of R.M. Charitable and Educational Trust was necessitated. This institution has facilities of Degree Programmes, Diploma Programmes and Certified Programmes offered By R.M. Institute of Education. We are now crowning this institution with the Jewel of R.M. Public school administered by R.M. Charitable and Educational Trust based on CBSE Pattern.
