R.S College of Education was established in the 2007 by Kathua Educational Society, Kathua a registered society . The Society has taken the responsibility and has made a sole – motto of disseminating knowledge and information , imparting education , bringing about social and cultural awakening , paving the way for scientific and technological advancement.R.S College of Education so established by the society vide Govt. Order no. 143/HE of 2007 Dated 19-07-2007 and is affiliated with the University of Jammu vide University Order No. CDC/2007/690-700 Dated 09-10-2007 . The College is imparting instructions to the students for bachelor of Education Course

R.S. College of Education fosters in pupil teachers social integrity, cultural independence and scientific development. R.S. College of Education endures to create supportive and diverse community in all aspects to prepare pupil teacher for development of the ultimate and understanding of the self. others and the community.
To these ends college strives for the development of pupil teachers in scientific knowledge, philosophical skills and cultural values and global awareness necessary to pursue career to achieve sublime leadership roles and lead responsible will o fwork, citizenship, learning and service.
