About Institution

Sabour College, Sabour is a constituent unit under T. M. Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur established in the year 1973. It is situated on the bank of the river Ganges and is a block headquarters by name Sabour block in Bhagalpur division of the state of Bihar. This college is only constituent college imparting higher education within the periphery of 25 K.M in the north, west and east. It caters to all the students belonging to the poor, underprivileged, downtrodden family pursuing for higher education. It also serves as the only option for the girls student of the area pursuing for the higher education. Presently more than 2100 students are enrolled in different subject at degree level courses. Sabour is emerging as education hub area due to one of the oldest Sabour agriculture college converted into Agriculture University of national repute, there is also in its neighbourhood Govt. Bihar College of Engineering, Bhagalpur located at Sabour nearly 1.5 KM away from the Sabour College. In order to make pace with these academic institution in terms of quality education an urgent need of adopting latest education technology for strengthening teaching learning activities is required to be undertaken.
