About Institution

The mutation of the land was carried out on 22 Jul 08. The land was demarcated and handed over to the school on 12 Feb 09. The foundation stone laying ceremony of the permanent infrastructure was held on 25 Feb 09 where the hon’ble Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Dr Raman Singh laid the Foundation stone in presence of the School Education Minister, the Panchayat Minister, a host of MPs & MLAs, high ranking state and district officials.
The Academic Block of Sainik School Ambikapur at permanent site Village Mendran Kalan was inaugurated on 30 Sep 2013 by Shri Shekhar Dutt, SM, Hon’ble Governor of Chhattisgarh in the presence of Shri Brij Mohan Agrawal, Minister of School Education and PWD, host of MPs & MLAs and officials from the State and District.

Vision

The scheme to establish Sainik Schools was introduced in 1961 with the primary aim of preparing boys academically, physically and mentally for entry into the National Defence Academy and other Defence Academies.

Mission

To remove the regional imbalances in the Officer Cadre of the Defense Services.
(b) To develop qualities of body, mind and character which will enable the young boys of today to become good and useful citizens of tomorrow and excel in all walks of life.
(c) To bring Public School education within the reach of the common man.
