About Institution

J.M. Patel College of Commerce, founded in the academic year 1988-89 by the Sanskardham Kelavani Mandal (SKM) is permanently affiliated to the University of Mumbai.
Some salient features of the College are listed below:
It is recognized under section 2(f) & 12(B) of the UGC Act 1956.
It has been reaccredited with CGPA of 2.79 at Grade B by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) in January 2011.The College offers three year integrated courses in B.Com,B.Sc. (IT) and B.M.S.
It has large well–ventilated classrooms providing a conducive ambience for learning.
It has a highly configured IT laboratory.The SKM was instituted in the year 1959 by men of vision. Driven by the desire to effect social transformation through education, these benevolent individuals with an acute sense of social responsibility brought up the first centre of learning in the year 1962 on the huge 2.09 acre campus. Today the campus boasts of 5 educational institutes which undertake the noble task of imparting knowledge to about 4000 students. The J. M. Patel College of Commerce is one of these educational institutes.
