Savitribai Phule Govt Girls Polytechnic started in the session of 2001-2002 with the primary aim of giving technical education to girls so that they stand shoulder to shoulder with the boys in this era of information and knowledge and make India a developed country.The polytechinc is named after the first lady teacher of India "SavitriBai Phule" who hailed from Maharashtra is an another source of inspiration to the girls who study in this institution.Technical education has a strong influence on many phases of nations progress , the material wealth ,industrial development and economic growth of a country are haevily dependent upon the efficiency and effectiveness of its system of technical education, which is responsible for the supply of necessary technical power.
