About Institution

Sharad Pawar College of Pharmacy (formerly called Nagpur College of Pharmacy), run by Nagar Yuwak Shikshan Sanstha, was established as a self financing institute in 1985. It is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. The college is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University and is approved by Directorate of Technical Education (D.T.E.), Maharashtra State, Mumbai. It is one of the leading pharmacy colleges in Maharashtra having "A" grade status awarded by D.T.E., Mumbai. The college had received Accreditation for three year from National Board of Accreditation in the year 2008. Preparations and procedure for reaccreditation are underway.

The college which was started in 1985 with an intake capacity of 60 for B. Pharm. course now also has Post-Graduation facilities (M. Pharm.) in Quality Assurance since 1998, Pharmaceutical Chemistry since 2002 and in Pharmaceutics since 2008. It is also recognized by Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University as a place of research for doctoral degree.

The college is situated on a picturesque hillock of Wanadongri about 12 Km. away from Nagpur on Hingna Road having ample space and facilities for present and future development. About 4300 sq meters built up area provides all the essential facilities and amenities for the academic and extra academic activities of the college.
